NOVOL has its own Research & Development Laboratory, a modern advanced unit which continually seeks innovative solutions. It is staffed by a team of qualified and experienced specialists who do testing in automotive and industrial varnish manufacture, flooring and pavement systems, wood flooring chemicals, and boatbuilding chemicals. Their research work includes - development of formulas for products and their manufacture processing, mechanical testing (e.g. tensile strength, bending, shearing, impact resistance, hardness, etc.), - ageing testing (i.e. anti-corrosion tests in a spray salt chamber, UV resistance, etc.), and evaluation of application parameters and properties (e.g. adhesion to different types of substrates, penetration power, filling, texture, etc.).
